Sun Jian Yun

This site is dedicated to the study of the Traditional 97 Step Sun Tai Chi Chuan.

The form was originated by Sun Lu Tang ( 1861-1933)



He passed down the form to his daughter Sun Jian Yun ( 1914-2003 )
In her lifetime she was regarded as "One of the Ten Greatest Living Treasures" of the Chinese martial arts world.



Grandmaster Sun Jian Yun taught this traditional form to David Martin of Leicester, who was to become her Bai Shi, that is, one of her formal students, recognised throughout the Tai Chi Chuan world as a lineage holder for Sun Style Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan).
